Playtime at the beach...near Fort Stevens

So, I've been cheating on Blogger...

I'm so sorry Blogger, I've met someone else. He makes me smile, he makes me laugh & best of all, he lets me see all my friends- any time I want! Okay, so it's just Facebook, but I've been having so much fun! I've found 30+ people I know, which is amazing to me. I've been off the radar for 12+ years, so it's nice to be back in contact with old friends & family...Well, we're not that old, but some people do look quite different than I remember!

July's Camping Adventure...

It was camping time again...This time we ventured to Silver Fall State Park near Salem / Silverton, Oregon. A jewel of campground we didn't even know existed! We found it by chance. It was selected by the Chalet Campers & we thought we would go check it out and also meet some other people with the same kind of trailer that we have...Unfortunately, we booked a site in the wrong "loop" and didn't spend much time talking to them. That might have been a good thing, since the dogs once again barked as much as possible. It's strange, but Bear (the tan one) barks more while camping & Max barks more at home. Go figure!

The Waterfalls are gorgeous, if you like that kind of thing. We were only able to go to the viewing platform with the dogs. No 3 to 8 mile hike for us...oh darn! HA! It's a hiker's paradise if you want to walk the whole trail. I believe there are 10 waterfalls in all. We just saw South Falls and North Falls- from a distance. Still pretty though.

Yeah! Now we just have to wait until NOVEMBER to see the actual movie...Ohhh the torture!

Back from the Beach...

Despite the fact that the dogs barked almost non-stop (except when sleeping) at all the people walking by our campsite & especially at all the other dogs, we had an enjoyable weekend. We had never been to this beach before. We highly recommend it! Beautiful and not too busy. The noise came from us...how embarrassing! It's located just south of Tillamook, OR.
Can't wait to visit again sometime...maybe when our allergies aren't as bad & alone- without the dogs, not without the husband! HA!
